Sun Safety EYFS PSHE lesson.

An hour-long 2024, KS3 (or could be used with KS4) lesson with a focus on eating disorders, misconceptions and links to mental health. The lesson is sensitively planned, so gives no information on how sufferers perpetuate their disorders, but clearly signposts how friends can alert authorities (teachers/guardians) appropriately if they are concerned and where we can go for further information. The lesson also shares NHS advice on how we can support people suffering from eating disorders, as well as why EDs often affect people in their teenage years. One hour lesson comprehensively covering all the considerations a couple or single person needs to make before deciding to have a child. This lesson is UK focused and students will investigate the childcare cost and environmental issues, as well as practical and emotional considerations. They will also focus on the positive aspects too, of love, affection, companionship and purpose.
This has been created to best suit KS4 but could easily be used with KS3 and is entirely editable. It covers the DfE and PSHE Association guidance for 2020-23 and will last you one hour.
Activities are scaffolded, there is a detailed and colourful PowerPoint, clip tasks, partnered tasks, active tasks, worksheets, literacy tasks, information pack, signposting to further help agencies and charities, clear outcomes and also progress measurers. Includes optional assessment sheet.

Resilience and Bouncing Back EYFS PSHE lesson.
A detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for EYFS/Reception age children. This lesson has been designed for use with children in Reception, however, the PowerPoint and activities could be adapted for use with other age groups.
In this lesson, the children will recap the previous two lesson’s learning on feelings and what we can do to calm our bodies down when we are sad, scared, or upset. We will discuss how it feels to be stuck when we are trying to learn something new, and with the help of Dan Santat’s story, After the Fall, we will reflect on the concept of resilience and bouncing back.
The lesson includes a sing-along starter (to ensure a swift start to the lesson), a story with accompanying questions, an adult-led focus task, independent activities to be carried out during continuous provision, and a plenary task.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.
